Galway Hydrogen Hub (GH2) is a consortium consisting of seven members - University of Galway, the Port of Galway, CIÉ Group and Bus Éireann, Aran Islands Ferries, Lasta Mara Teo, Aer Arann Islands, and SSE Renewables. The consortium is proposing a new zero-emissions green hydrogen fuel facility developed at Galway Harbour, positioning Galway as the home of Ireland’s first Hydrogen Valley.

GH2 is hosting a public consultation relating to its proposed green hydrogen zero emission transport hub on December 14th at the Harbour Hotel from 3pm – 8pm. The subject of the public consultation to changes to the proposed route for an underground cable which will supply electricity from the Galway electricity network to a new 38 Kilovolt (kV) substation adjacent to the proposed GH2 site.
